I am Lecturer in Media and Communication at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. At QMU I lead the journalism modules for our undergraduate students as well as teaching an elective in Global Journalism. I also teach on the university’s MSc in Media, Management and the Creative Industries.

I was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities in Edinburgh, and a Carson Fellow at the Rachel Carson Center in Munich.

My research is focused on journalism futures and sustainable journalisms in parallel with media representations of environmental change and Anthropocene media practice.

I supervise PhD students working in public communication and journalism studies. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD with me please use the academic contact details on the contact page.
