I am Lecturer in Sociology of Media at the University of Glasgow, where teach both theoretical and applied journalism modules for our postgraduate students in International Journalism. I am one of the core members of the Glasgow University Media Group, one of the UK’s leading media research clusters.
I was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities in Edinburgh, and a Carson Fellow at the Rachel Carson Center in Munich. Alongside my work at Glasgow I am affiliated to Malmö University in Sweden where I have both researched and taught. I supervise PhD students working in public communication and journalism studies.
