I am a Sociologist, Writer and Occasional Journalist based in Glasgow, Scotland. I began writing professionally when still an undergrad student studying modern languages in Berlin, after which I went on to become an international reporter and correspondent in Northern Europe. At the same time I have pursued a career as a Sociologist of climate, energy and narrative.
I studied for my PhD at the University of Edinburgh and as a guest researcher and research fellow in Uppsala, Sweden. Both during and after my PhD I worked as a features and news journalist around the Nordic and Baltic region in particular, before taking up my current role at the University of Glasgow where I teach Sociology and Media within the School of Social and Political Science. I am also a fellow of the Carson Center at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Visiting Lecturer at Malmö University in Sweden. You can find out about the diverse aspects of my career in the tabs above, including lists of publications and outputs. For media commissions and questions please use the contact page.
